This blog is dedicated to my adventure in photography. You'll see bits of my adopted hometown, New Orleans, as well as plenty of pictures of my sons, Dylan and Logan, and, of course, the children and families that allow me to capture the special moments in their lives.
I'll be updating the blog frequently, so add me to your blog reader. And if you have a blog yourself, I'd love to be added to your blog roll. Lastly I love comments so if you've particularly enjoyed a post or a photo please let me know!

Forgotten Gems: Daddy's Little Boy
Back when Logan was only two weeks old I did a session with him and Kevin. It was not a good session. I broke my own cardinal rule for newborn sessions and only left us an hour window to get the pictures I wanted. It was an hour in which Logan was awake, fussy and wanted to nurse constantly. Yeah, fun. Not surprisingly, I chalked that session up to being a bust and never spent much time on the images. Well yesterday I came back across the pictures and I'm in love. Mixed in among the images of a crying baby and a stressed out dad are some real gems...
9/13/09: Fall sessions are booking up quickly. If you are interested in booking a session for Septembr through December 2009, please email me as soon as possible at amy@amydrouetphotography.com. Please note that sessions must be completed by November 15 for holiday delivery.
Such a simple question. But the answer, of course, is not so simple. The truth is, I’m many things to many different people. A wife to my husband, Kevin. A mother to my beautiful sons, Dylan and Logan. And a photographer - and friend - to my clients, both big and little.
Throughout this blog you’ll see snippets of my life, photographs of my children, and images of the extraordinary people that have entrusted me to capture and preserve their memories. I’ve been privileged to take part in their lives and watch their families grow. I hope you'll consider letting me add your children and your family to this special group.
