WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Come on in. Kick back. Relax. Stay a while.

This blog is dedicated to my adventure in photography. You'll see bits of my adopted hometown, New Orleans, as well as plenty of pictures of my sons, Dylan and Logan, and, of course, the children and families that allow me to capture the special moments in their lives.

I'll be updating the blog frequently, so add me to your blog reader. And if you have a blog yourself, I'd love to be added to your blog roll. Lastly I love comments so if you've particularly enjoyed a post or a photo please let me know!

Sneak Peek: Camille + Family

Camille and her parents were brave enough to meet me in the park on one of the chilliest days around here so far. We ventured far and wide to find some good (and warm!) spots for photos and ultimately were successful. C & P - I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Sneak Peek: Jack + Family

Jack, like most toddlers, is a bundle of energy! But he stopped for a few minutes to pose with his parents, tickle the lions, jump like a superhero, and count the acorns. See, taking pictures isn't so hard after all! T family - I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Speaking of my hunka chunka baby love...

Here he is!

Oh, so pudgy and pinchable... This is from my holiday card session with the two boys. More of that to come!

Sneak Peek: Baby Zack

You may remember this cutie from his newborn session. Well, Zack is four months old already (and still about half the size of mine hunka chunka baby!) Did I mention that Logan and Zack are destined to be hunting and fishing buddies for life? Yup, too bad for them, us parents have already decided it! That's what happens when friends have babies at the same time! Here are just a few of the pictures from our session:

He wasn't overly fond of tummy time...

but he did like laying on my furry rug...

And he reaaaaaally like chomping on his toes...
But mostly he liked playing with his momma...

Sneak Peek: C Family

I'll be honest with y'all - wrangling three small kids together for a photo ain't easy. But when they're this cute, I'd say the effort is worth it, wouldn't you? Mom is expecting #4 this spring, so I'm looking forward to an even greater adventure next year!

Sneak Peek: K's Maternity Session

Okay, so my sneak peeks are getting later and later... but at least they're not "post" peeks yet, right? Anyway, I had the opportunity to photograph K's adorable son Philip a year and a half ago when I was portfolio building and mentoring under the fab Lyndsay of Life in Motion Photography. Well now Philip is going to be a big brother so I had the pleasure of not only photographing him again, but also doing maternity portraits for his mom.

(I'll warn you now, she's skinny and beautiful so don't hate her too much, okay? ;))

Here are just a few of the pictures from our day at the park...

And the soon-to-be big brother (and yes, his eyes really are THAT amazing):

Doesn't he look like an ad for Junior GQ?

Exciting things are coming!

2008 sessions are now officially closed unless you're one of my expecting mamas! I'll soon open my 2009 calendar so be sure to check in here for that announcement.

In the meantime, this is just a quick note to let everyone know that there are some exciting things in store for 2009! First, there'll be a new logo, a new website (same web address) and a whole new look and feel. Check out the logo by Lucid Graphic Design:

But that's not all... there will also be new collections, a new maternity and newborn combination package, new promotions and a new referral program. Phew! I better get my butt in gear to get all of this ready by December 31. I'll be making announcements as I finalize the details so stay tuned!

Moments like these... part 2

Logan is 5 1/2 months now and Dylan will turn 2 in just a couple short weeks (where does the time go???) and it's so heart warming to see them starting to interact with one another. Logan just loves watching Dylan and Dylan is starting to "play" to his audience. The other day we were at Gram and Gramps house and it was the "witching hour" - that time of night when my two year old is not quite ready for bed, but tired enough to be crazy and wild. I was sitting on the sofa with Logan when Dylan climbed up next to me and tried to walk across the sofa. He fell - of course. And Logan just let out the sweetest, funniest, from-the-very-bottom-of-his-pudgy-belly laugh. And you could see the spark light up in Dylan's eyes.

Hmmmm.... I fall and he laughs. The little gears were turning in his head. Dylan loves a good cause and effect. And heck, he loves falling on the sofa. And the bed. And the grass. And the floor. And... but I digress. My little toddler picked himself up, went back to the end of the sofa and fell again. And again. And over and over again. And Logan laughed until he tired himself out with it.

Could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship? I sure hope so.

Sneak Peek: Graham

I just love when my clients choose to do sessions in the Quarter. There are so many cool backdrops for pictures and we definitely took advantage of it for this little guy's 9-month session.

(I loooove pudgy baby legs! )

Sneak Peek: Olivia

Miss Olivia is just turned two and talking up a storm. We had a wonderful morning at the park and there are lots of fun pictures to come. In the meantime though, here are just a few:

Sneak Peek: Baby Lilli

Okay, this is another "barely" sneak peek. R&G - I promise your gallery is almost done! In the meantime though, here's the lovely miss Lilli in all her sweet, squishy, newborn glory. :)

Moments like these...

melt my heart...

I was driving home this morning after picking the boys up from my mother in law's house and as I'm driving I hear Logan laughing in the backseat. I mean really laughing. Full out belly laughs. I couldn't see him because he was in a rear-facing carseat behind my seat. But when I got to a red light I peeked in the back to see what is going on. And there was Dylan is making "sweet eyes" at Logan from his carseat. It was so cute. I love my boys and it's so nice to see them loving each other as well.
