WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Come on in. Kick back. Relax. Stay a while.

This blog is dedicated to my adventure in photography. You'll see bits of my adopted hometown, New Orleans, as well as plenty of pictures of my sons, Dylan and Logan, and, of course, the children and families that allow me to capture the special moments in their lives.

I'll be updating the blog frequently, so add me to your blog reader. And if you have a blog yourself, I'd love to be added to your blog roll. Lastly I love comments so if you've particularly enjoyed a post or a photo please let me know!

10 Things to Know (and Love) About Logan

Since most of my family won't actually get to meet Logan until his christening in July, here are a few tidbits to help you get to know him:

  1. Logan is a man of mystery. First, because he's a newborn so we're waiting to see how his personality emerges. Will he be impish and full of energy like his brother? Or more low-key? Time will tell! But also because we can't figure out who the heck he looks like. :)
  2. Rosy, rosy skin. Logan has the rosiest skin you can imagine. And when he gets upset, he turns fire engine red. We think he'll ultimately have Kevin more olive-ish complexion. In the meantime, Kevin has started calling him Tomato. Nice, huh?
  3. Dark, fuzzy hair. Logan has the softest, silkiest dark brown, fuzzy hair. I just love stroking the top of his head.
  4. Light blue/gray eyes. Surprisingly, even with the darker skin and dark hair, Logan's eyes are a light blue/gray for the moment. It will be interesting to see if they stay light or turn dark...
  5. Chicken legs (and arms). Despite the fact that everyone keeps telling us that he's a big baby (is 8 lbs really that big???), Logan has the skinniest, scrawniest arms and legs. So where did all the pounds go? Well that brings me to my next point...
  6. Chins and more chins. Logan doesn't have just one chin. He has at least two and maybe even three. Yup, I think most of those 8 pounds went into his pudgy little neck!
  7. Here piggy, piggy, piggy! Logan's second nickname is Piglet. Not only because he eats and eats and eats. But also because he's one of those noisy, grunty, snorty babies.
  8. Teeny, tiny perfect little ears. His ears are so small, pink, and fuzzy. And they lie so tight and flat against his head. I think I'm so intrigued by them because Dylan's ears always stuck out. (Not that they weren't cute too of course!)
  9. Angelina lips. Or really, lip. Logan has the fullest bottom lip... perfect for pouting.
  10. Sleep smiles. Logan could win an academy award for the breadth of expressions that flit across his face. Cross one moment. Pouty the next. But my favorites are those sweet sleep smiles. Yes, I know that they're not "real" smiles, but if you saw one of these big grins spread across his face you wouldn't care if they're real or not either. Too, too cute.

So that's my introduction to Logan. I promise, more photos will be coming soon!
