This blog is dedicated to my adventure in photography. You'll see bits of my adopted hometown, New Orleans, as well as plenty of pictures of my sons, Dylan and Logan, and, of course, the children and families that allow me to capture the special moments in their lives.
I'll be updating the blog frequently, so add me to your blog reader. And if you have a blog yourself, I'd love to be added to your blog roll. Lastly I love comments so if you've particularly enjoyed a post or a photo please let me know!

Ben and Dylan's First Trip to the Lake
Every year a group of us rent a cabin on Percy Quin lake in Mississippi for a weekend. Kevin and I take the boat and we all spend the weekend waterskiiing, tubing, swimming, playing games, and generally relaxing. This year, for the first time, our Percy Quin weekend turned from an adults-only trip to a family trip as Dylan and our friend's son Ben joined the festivities. Of course I had to break out the camera and take some informal shots of Ben and Dylan on their first trip to the lake.
And here's Crabcake (representing his beloved Sox of course ;))
9/13/09: Fall sessions are booking up quickly. If you are interested in booking a session for Septembr through December 2009, please email me as soon as possible at amy@amydrouetphotography.com. Please note that sessions must be completed by November 15 for holiday delivery.
Such a simple question. But the answer, of course, is not so simple. The truth is, I’m many things to many different people. A wife to my husband, Kevin. A mother to my beautiful sons, Dylan and Logan. And a photographer - and friend - to my clients, both big and little.
Throughout this blog you’ll see snippets of my life, photographs of my children, and images of the extraordinary people that have entrusted me to capture and preserve their memories. I’ve been privileged to take part in their lives and watch their families grow. I hope you'll consider letting me add your children and your family to this special group.
