WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Come on in. Kick back. Relax. Stay a while.

This blog is dedicated to my adventure in photography. You'll see bits of my adopted hometown, New Orleans, as well as plenty of pictures of my sons, Dylan and Logan, and, of course, the children and families that allow me to capture the special moments in their lives.

I'll be updating the blog frequently, so add me to your blog reader. And if you have a blog yourself, I'd love to be added to your blog roll. Lastly I love comments so if you've particularly enjoyed a post or a photo please let me know!

It's alive!

My website that is. There are still a few typos, etc., that I have to straighten out, but check it out: http://www.amydrouetphotography.com/. And let me know what you think!

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary

How does your garden grow?

Here's little Raegan. You may remember her from her 4-month session back in July. Here are a few pictures from her 6-month session.

Canvas

I finally got a canvas for myself. Woohoo. Isn't it pretty? I love it.

Cheeky Monkey!

Kevin and I got Dylan his Halloween costume the other day. Isn't this the cutest monkey you've ever seen? ;)

(please excuse the inconsistent colors - I was in a hurry! :))

Ben and Dylan's First Trip to the Lake

Every year a group of us rent a cabin on Percy Quin lake in Mississippi for a weekend. Kevin and I take the boat and we all spend the weekend waterskiiing, tubing, swimming, playing games, and generally relaxing. This year, for the first time, our Percy Quin weekend turned from an adults-only trip to a family trip as Dylan and our friend's son Ben joined the festivities. Of course I had to break out the camera and take some informal shots of Ben and Dylan on their first trip to the lake.

And here's Crabcake (representing his beloved Sox of course ;))

More Jack

Because I just can't resist such a sweet little face. (And maybe because I have a touch of baby fever too. ;))

This one cracks me up!
